Following reports of reception difficulties in Cooloola Cove, Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach, the Digital Switchover Taskforce recently visited these areas to conduct signal strength and quality testing. The Taskforce found a number of issues that require further investigation by broadcasters.
Following on from this investigation Regional Broadcasting Australia is now preparing to conduct extensive field testing in the area.
The RBA will be undertaking work on local transmitters and residents will experience intermittent loss of signal during the month of August.
If you are experiencing digital TV reception issues, it is suggested that you wait until this testing process has been completed and solutions are proposed before making any adjustments to your digital television, set top box or antenna.
